Dreamweaver makes it easy to insert a Flash movie into a Web page. Simply position the insertion point in the Document window at the location where you would like the movie to display. Then click the Flash button on the Media pop-up menu and select the file name. Flash movies end with .swf extensions. When you insert a movie, Dreamweaver adds the code for the movie. After the movie is inserted into the Document window, a gray rectangle is displayed on the page. This rectangle represents the width and height of the movie. The width and height are determined when the developer creates the movie. The Flash logo is displayed in the center of the gray rectangle.
When a Flash movie is inserted and selected, Dreamweaver displays the Flash Property inspector. Most of the properties for a Flash movie are identical to those for Flash text (described earlier in this project).
